The neoliberal model of globalisation threatens to become the only game in town, sweeping all other forms of being a human into the dustbin of history.

This programme offers a practical and theoretical exploration of the ways in which the arts - theatre, video and other screen media  can be used with communities as cultural intervention and to effect social transformation on their own terms.

The importance of culture and communication to the achievement of sustainable development goals is now widely understood among governmental and NGO agencies.

Social inclusion is not simply a matter of bribing or coercing the excluded into one social vision but rather of engaging in dialogues with the diverse groupings and formations which constitute a genuinely democratic society. This diversity is daily threatened by the interventions of corporate media imperialism and the domination of politics by the interests of business.
